Your Health Benefits at a Glance
As a benefit-eligible employee, you’ll become eligible for medical and dental coverage 30 days after your hire date.
We provide the following benefits at no cost to you:
Basic medical and dental coverage
Basic life insurance
Accidental death insurance
Disability (salary continuation)
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
In addition, you have the option to enroll in enhanced benefits during designated enrollment periods. These include:
Enhanced medical and dental coverage
Supplemental life insurance
For these optional benefits, you’ll contribute toward the cost of coverage which vary based on coverage level.
Eligible Dependents
You may also extend coverage to your eligible dependents, defined as:
Spouse
The person to whom you are legally married and who resides with you, or
A common-law partner who has lived with you in a marriage-like relationship for at least 12 continuous months.
Note: Proof of co-residence is required for common-law spouses.
Dependent Children
Your biological, adopted, or court-ordered children who are in your full custody and legally reside with and depend on you.
Children for whom you are legally responsible for health care, even if they do not live with you.
Stepchildren who live in your household, either full-time or part-time.
Children Over Age 21
Children may remain on your plan until their 25th birthday if they are:
Unmarried
Living at your address
Enrolled full-time in school (minimum of four courses), or
Officially recognized as disabled by a federal or provincial agency.
Enrollment Periods
Our company holds open enrollment every two years. After your initial enrollment, you may only make changes if you experience a qualifying life event, such as:
Marriage or divorce
Birth or adoption of a child
Loss of coverage through your spouse’s employer

Please note: The Company reserves the right to modify or terminate any part of the benefits plans at any time, including with retroactive effect where permitted by law. Any changes will apply to all covered individuals, including dependents. In case of any discrepancies, the official plan documents and contracts will take precedence.
